Submission Guidelines
Bluebell Magazine
First Issue Coming Up in June, 2025
What We Publish: Bluebell Magazine publishes original prose, creative nonfiction and poetry. This means that all submissions must never have been published before in any media, including student anthologies. When you submit your work to Bluebell, you are granting Bluebell the exclusive first publication right to publish the submission in all forms and media throughout the world. You are also agreeing that the submission does not contain anything defamatory.
Payment and Publication Rights: Bluebell Magazine does not charge submission fees. You will be paid £50 or more upon Bluebell Magazine’s publication of your accepted work. Bluebell Magazine purchases first serial rights. Subject to your consent, Bluebell may translate and publish your work in another language. If you agree to the translation, you will receive another payment to be negotiated. Our acceptance of your work upon submission does not guarantee publication.
How to Submit Your Work: The word limit is 2,500 words for each piece of prose. Kindly submit only one piece at a time. You may submit a maximum of four poems, all in the same document, with page breaks between each work. All work must be submitted in a Word document. We prefer single quotation marks and double spacing for prose. Poetry may be in any format. Any footnotes in your submission are counted as part of the word count and all pages should be numbered. Please e-mail a Word document of your submission to bluebellmagazine@gmail.com. The name of the Word document should be the name of your story, essay or poem.We do not charge submission fees. .
Review Process: We read everything we receive. Please bear with us as it may take 3-4 weeks for us to read and respond. We will work with you on any minor edits and e-mail proofs for your approval.
Deadline: The submissions deadline for our first issue is 28 February 2025. We expect to publish the first issue of Bluebell in June 2025. Please send your work to bluebellmagazine@gmail.com
Your Personal Information: Bluebell will maintain your contact information only for the purposes of paying your fee and keeping a database of writers so that we may notify you of upcoming events.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the publication of any work submitted to Bluebell Magazine.
